Video poker is typically played against a machine, which shows the player’s cards on a video monitor. Connecting pieces of poker and slots, this form poker is one of the few games in the gambling den where you might really have a realistic chance of profiting, as opposed to depending on the lady luck of slots or roulette.
The gambler places a wager and the video poker machine deals five cards from a normal fifty two-card pack. The player then has 1 chance to hold or discard any number of unsuitable cards, and is dealt the same number of replacement cards from the deck.
After the new cards are dealt the payouts are calculated based on the 5-card poker hand. The payout is dependent on the given type of game begin bet on.
